"Hello! Question regarding Mac products. My local discount designer clothing store has a little bin of Mac products. I live in Australia (Mac is overpriced) so when I saw the products I wanted to buy a few eyeshadows, but the packaging threw me a bit as the eyeshadows and lipsticks were in sparkling black pots and tubes, rather than matte black. Have you heard of Mac packaging like this? Some of the studio fix's were labelled with c3, while others had nc25. Is it likely that these are all fake?"

I’m going to throw this question out to the floor!
I haven’t heard of many “sparkling” black pots. Did you mean that they had specks of glitter in the plastic? In general, from the regular line, they’re always matte black except for products like the Sheen Supreme Lipsticks which come in glossy black tubes.
These COULD be from one of their limited edition collections, but these tend to be very distinctive-looking. (E.g. Hello Kitty and Liberty of London had patterned glossy cases, with print on them.) I would take note of some of the shade names and then do a Google image search to see if any images of special limited edition packaging comes up.
I personally don’t recall MAC releasing sparkly black pots and tubes in recent years, so you’re right to be careful!
If anyone out there has seen these sparkly black pots and tubes, and knows something about these, PLEASE leave a reply to this post to let us know!
