Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio GR412 “Lido” Swatches and “Halo-Eye” Demo!
I was very excited to see the 3 new Shiseido F/W 2013 trios, but I picked Lido because I always like a bit of drama, and I thought these “Sunset in Venice” blues and greens were gorgeously dark and dreamy, and would play well with neutral shadows in my collection.
Swatches never quite show you how something is going to work and look on the eyes, so here’s a simple evening smoky look suggestion, with a “halo eye” look, where you surround a dark lid with a soft wash of brighter colors, almost like there is a halo around it.
You CAN wear this if you have a mono-lid or hooded lid, but you have to make sure you fill in the dark color up to your socket line. (See below.)
Step 1: First use a flat, firm brush to pack the darkest green over the mobile lid (under the socket line, going along the outer half of the lower lash line but stopping short of the inner corners on both the top and bottom.
Note: Even if you have mono-lids or hooded eyes, and your socket line is not very defined, you should bring this color up past your crease! (Feel for where your socket line is under your skin and stop just there.)
